Dr. Uhde has been practicing orthodontics in Harrison since 1981 and lives in West Harrison, Indiana with his wife Betty and their two sons, Rudy and Eric. During the summer he enjoys boating with his friends in Brookville, and is actively involved with Harrison Junior Baseball where he sponsors two teams, “Doc’s Jocks” and “HarrisonBraces.com”. Dr. Uhde also sponsors three Knot Hole Teams: Harrison Bulls, Crush, and the Demons. He is a member of Harrison Kiwanis and attends the Bright Christian Church.

Dr. Uhde received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville Dental School in 1978 and graduated from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center with a certificate and Masters of Science degree in orthodontics in 1980. During his residency at the University of Illinois he was awarded the William B. Downs Award for Clinical Excellence and published his research in the prestigious orthodontic journal Angle Orthodontics.

Dr. Uhde’s professional affiliations include: the American Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Association, The World Federation of Orthodontists, and numerous Study Clubs. He is past president of the Ohio Valley Orthodontic Society, an orthodontic materials design evaluator, and is a Certified Provider for Invisalign.

His treatment philosophy is to provide the best orthodontic treatment possible to promote self-confidence and better oral health and to have fun doing it.
